"Not worth the price for poor durability and zero customer service" 2009-06-29
By Samsboo (Texas)
Slide worked great initially, but just doesn't hold up, blower is probably not powerful enough to begin with, but several places had the seams come apart, called customer service, & what a joke!!!!! Sales rep. didn't seem interested in passing on concerns or doing anything to help resolve issues.

This company seems to be only concerned with product sales, and not researching and improving their product.

Would not purchase this product again, and would not recommend this product.

"Enjoy The Summer With This" 2009-06-25
By E. Bach
I had looked through various websites for reviews and did not see a lot of them, but ended up buying this unit as it seemed to be the best bargain.

I've used it once, and it is GREAT! Lots of fun for the kids as well as adults. My daughter (4.5) couldn't get enough of it, and she had 3 different slides to choose from once up at the top. The air blower is compact and powerful to keep the unit inflated well.

I did have a little difficulty figuring out the set up the first time, and took me a while to figure out where to connect the spray hoses, even as they were labeled. But, now that I've done it once, it will be easier to do in the future.

The unit is very heavy, so although I was able to set up by myself, its helpful to have another adult to position it with you. We have been getting rainy weather up here the last few days, so its been sitting in my backyard to "dry out", but keeps getting wet. I just dried it off with a towel best I could and packed it up, hoping for the best, since it seems there are always litle pockets of water that would never really dry out because they are buried under the arches of the unit. Hopefully that does not limit the life of it.

It definitely does not fold up easily and I was laughing that Banzai actually expects people to perfectly fold up the unit to fit in the provided bag! Yeah, sure... Instead, I folded it up best I could, and placed it into a wheelbarrow, which made it easy to move in and out of the garage without breaking my back.

I've realized that when setting it up, its important to fill it up with water for about 30 minutes before you want to use it in order to fill the pool section up. My daughter did not mind the cold hose water temperature, and while I noticed it, the slide was really so much fun and fast, you kind of forget about it because its such a great time. Even my 67 year old father went on and enjoyed it.

I expect to get a lot of summer use out of it, and the specifications are for no greater than 180 pounds per person for a total of 400 pounds on it at any time. That's basically about 9 of my daughter's friends at the same time. Maybe I should charge admission?

Looks to be a great investment and hours of fun. Off to a great start!

"DO NOT BUY ANY SLIDES MADE BY BANZAI - THEY ULTIMATELY COST ABOUT $100 PER USE!!!" 2009-06-19
By L. Hanrahan
We have purchased 2 Banzai water slides in 2 years. The first one was the mega racer slide (with dual slides approx $300). That slide lasted for one summer (using maybe once a week) with one 5 year old and two 2 year olds using it. The product just simply wore out and would no longer hold air. The second slide was the jungle blast (approx $600). This slide was great fun for the kids, now obviously each one year older. We got the slide out (which is a task on it's own) about 6 times last summer with no problems at all. We got it out today for the first time this year. We had a great time on it for about an hour until the seams just blew open. Basically, how I figure it is that this Banzai product cost me about $100 per use!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

"Lasts less than a year" 2009-06-13
By Nathan Miller (Massachusetts USA)
Great fun. Kids loved it.

When fall came I attempted to put the slide away for winter.

Cleaned and folded the slide over onto itself to compress the size. Spent about 10 minutes before I heard a huge rip as I was moving it. Yep. Nice long rip. Pissed, I proceeded MUCH more delicately. RIP. It had already ripped once over the summer just from normal use.

Absolutely unable to pack this item up for the winter. Left it out. This spring, spent hours patching it. Kids used it for less than an hour before new rips appeared. It then went to the garbage.

As an aside, it kills the grass beneath it so that you generate a tremendous amount of mud after a while.

So it's a great toy, as long as you understand it lasts just one season.

"We LOVE it!!! Our 3rd Banzai slide" 2009-06-09
By K. Ferrara (Long Island)
We had the original Banzai Falls for 3 years. My son and his friends beat it all day long!! They used the bottom of the slide as a bouncer. When my son was ready for something bigger and better we gave the old one away. It worked just fine until 3 boys tried to climb up the foot holds at the same time and it ripped open. Not the manufacturers fault....bad parents not watching the kids. Our next was the Sidewider Falls. Loved it, got 2 years out of that one and gave it away. The problem we had with that one was the plastic that covers the pool area cracked. It still held water and that problem was probably our fault from the way we folded it and stored it for the winter. Now we have the Jungle Blast water slide. LOVE IT!! My son stands on the curvy slide and bounces lays on/leans on the green tunnel and we've had no issues. This is our favorite of all three we've had so far. It's basically the original banzai falls and the sidewider falls combined. I think this is one of their biggest and definately their best water slide.

I can't wait to see what they come out with to top this. In another year or two we'll be ready for something newer and more exciting!
